Position Description

As a Bioinformatics Data Analyst at QIAGEN, you will play a key role in analyzing complex genomic and transcriptomic data to support the development of molecular diagnostic systems. You will work closely with our team of experienced bioinformaticians to develop and implement bioinformatics tools and workflows, and to visualize and interpret data to generate actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and document bioinformatics tools and workflows to support molecular assay development.
  • Analyze and interpret genomic and transcriptomic data to support research hypotheses and product development.
  • Visualize and communicate complex data insights to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support the planning and coordination of studies, including writing protocols and reviewing documents.
  • Stay current with new bioinformatics methods and technologies and apply them to ongoing projects.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in bioinformatics and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field, and experience with bioinformatics tools and databases, including analysis of genomics data (NGS and/or PCR) and knowledge of human genetics, genomics, and/or infectious disease.
