This position requires relocation to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, where you will join our Global Manufacturing Excellence organization under the Downstream Global Manufacturing Support Department (GMSD).

Job Summary

We are seeking a Corrosion Engineer to provide technical support to operating facilities, projects, and technology deployment. Your primary role will be to provide specialized technical corrosion control services and consultation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement corrosion management programs and on-stream monitoring.
  • Conduct risk-based inspections using API580 methodology.
  • Review and approve recommended solutions for coating failures and cathodic protection.
  • Participate in HAZOP review sessions and ensure all issues are addressed.
  • Manage water treatment programs and recommend solutions to overcome challenges.
  • Review design packages and validate materials selection based on current codes and standards.
  • Validate corrosion control corrosion loops and corrosion damage mechanisms frequently.
  • Assess feed composition changes and approve recommended solutions to assure asset integrity.
  • Develop scope and description of technology items and lead field implementation.
  • Develop and transfer knowledge about the use of coating CP corrosion inhibitors and other corrosion controls and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Willingness to relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering.
  • Have a minimum of 12 years of experience with a strong preference for 15 years plus in processing in Oil/Gas industry material science and metrology different NDT technology and their applications and knowledge in the engineering aspects of welding.
  • Knowledge of international standards and codes such as NACE ASME API and ASTM especially inspection and corrosion standards such as API571 API580 API570 and API510 is required.
  • Hold a valid NACE Specialist Certification or NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist or a combination of NACE Corrosion Technologist API571 and NACE CP Level II.
