About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Priory Group. As a Chef, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking meals for our residents, taking into account any special requests or dietary requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare meals for large groups, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Ensure operational standards comply with food safety policies and guidelines, as well as statutory regulations.
- Take full shift responsibility for the catering operation, including supervising assigned catering staff.
- Monitor and adapt food production to minimize waste and ensure efficient stock control.
- Research and develop varied and interesting menus, taking into account healthy eating guidelines and dietary requirements.
- Ensure that residents are provided with variety and choice, adapting to changing needs and dietary requirements.
- Responsible for food safety standards and kitchen cleaning.
- Experience producing meals for large groups on time and to budget.
About the Team
You will be working in a specialist low secure forensic service for men over 50, providing age-appropriate care and support. Our hospital is set in attractive grounds near Romford in Essex, with convenient access to public transport.
