This position is tasked with the editing and enhancement of content, maintaining a high standard of detail and precision. The ideal candidate will be integral to the team, demonstrating robust administrative and data processing capabilities to assist with writing assignments.

This role involves the processing, creation, and management of content and image files for the Barbour service, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the material.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and acquiring new and related third-party document content.
  • Developing an understanding of information and content providers pertinent to Barbour's offerings.
  • Implementing the most efficient processes to guarantee timely and thorough content management.
  • Processing content to meet established standards.
  • Interpreting legislative updates and tagging Barbour content accordingly.

Additional duties encompass:

  • Inputting Barbour content into the CMS, which includes various content types requiring specific formatting and processing.
  • Identifying new or revised document content for inclusion.
  • Working with predefined publisher content and adhering to a schedule for content sourcing.
  • Monitoring information/content sources using effective methodologies.
  • Reviewing existing document content and making necessary adjustments.
  • Understanding copyright statuses related to content and ensuring compliance.
  • Updating the database with new data and modifying existing records as needed.
  • Gaining a solid understanding of Barbour content formatting, a specialized CMS, and associated procedures.

A strong command of English, both written and verbal, is essential.

The candidate should be eager to develop knowledge in the health, safety, and environmental sectors, along with an understanding of relevant legislative and content requirements.
