Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Maintenance Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing process.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out daily operational checks, supporting production with equipment changes and setup, and identifying and carrying out preventative maintenance works. You will also be required to work collaboratively with production teams to reduce the impact of engineering and suggest preventative maintenance activities that could improve reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out daily operational checks and support production with equipment changes and setup.
  2. Identify and carry out preventative maintenance works utilizing the site's electronic maintenance system (MPulse) and provide feedback on works undertaken.
  3. Work collaboratively with production teams to reduce the impact of engineering and suggest preventative maintenance activities that could improve reliability.
  4. Support the management of contractors to the expected standards.
  5. Participate in on-site and off-site training required to fulfill the role.
Requirements:
  1. Time served or apprenticeship trained & qualified engineer.
  2. Can demonstrate good engineering knowledge and safe working practices.
  3. Willing to work collaboratively with production teams.
  4. Ability to support the management of contractors.
  5. Participate in on-site and off-site training.
Desirable:
  1. Welding and fabrication skills (MIG, TIG, MMA).
  2. Previous experience as a member of a maintenance team using an electronic maintenance system is desirable but not essential.
