Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Supervisor to join our client's team in Thetford. As a key member of the quality control laboratory, you will oversee daily operations, ensure accuracy and reliability of test results, and contribute to the production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement best practice quality procedures in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lead a team of laboratory technicians, develop and implement testing protocols, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects, assessing their impact on QC laboratory activities.
  • Support the onboarding process for new customers and ensure audit readiness for your area of responsibility.
  • Conduct testing of components and products to established standards, perform audits in line with GMP standards, and monitor the quality of finished goods in production.
  • Support manufacturing and material trials, lead and manage laboratory technicians to achieve high performance, and engage with suppliers as needed.
  • Manage daily laboratory operations, ensuring accurate and timely test results, and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
  • Develop and refine testing procedures, continually improving laboratory performance, and maintaining thorough documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments, drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality in all laboratory operations.

Requirements:

  • Supervisory experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within an FMCG industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Chemist) are desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
