About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Services Team Leader to join our team at STERIS. As a key member of our Sterile Services team, you will be responsible for leading a team of sterile services personnel and ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of sterile services personnel to ensure efficient and effective decontamination, sterilization, and delivery of surgical instrument packs to internal and external customers.
  • Oversee the preparation of instruments and equipment by the process of cleaning, inspection, assembly, and packing within predefined quality standards.
  • Utilize specialist knowledge across Sterile Service practice underpinned by theoretical knowledge to ensure compliance with required Health and Safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Participate in the on-call management rota service to maintain emergency services to customers.
  • Undertake any other duties or tasks as reasonably required.
Requirements
  • Leadership and management experience in a sterile services or related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of decontamination, sterilization, and infection prevention practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
