Your Role
As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Shift Operations Manager. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of warehouse operatives and supporting roles within your designated area of responsibility.
- Ensuring the operation meets operational targets, goals, and contractual KPIs to provide an effective and efficient quality service.
- Providing direction and leadership to the team, monitoring performance to achieve high performance levels.
- Ensuring operational targets are met on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Providing accurate daily information for effective handovers.
- Encouraging a positive and constructive relationship with the union and union representatives.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handling disciplinary actions and grievances in accordance with company procedure.
- Undertaking additional duties as required for the effective operation of the function and department.
- Working a variety of shifts, including 5 out of 7 shifts, with the possibility of additional hours or shifts as needed.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working in an automated warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
- Proven experience in supervising or managing a team.
- Experience with disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Ability to work independently, meeting strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong PC skills.
- A flexible team-based approach.
- General awareness of health and safety practices.
