We are seeking a Product Safety Specialist to join our esteemed team at Atlas Recruitment Group Ltd. This role is integral to our Product Safety division, where you will engage with a variety of sophisticated systems.
The Product Safety Specialist will be responsible for supporting the safety assurance cases of a product line within one of our sectors, while also crafting safety arguments. Additionally, you may oversee the safety assurance of testing and support equipment utilized throughout the development, servicing, and maintenance phases, ensuring that safety considerations are embedded in the design process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of safety assurance cases for product families;
- Formulate and articulate safety arguments to support product safety initiatives;
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety legislation and standards;
- Oversee the safety assurance of test and support equipment;
- Integrate safety considerations into the product design lifecycle.
Qualifications & Skills
- A degree in Engineering, Systems, Safety, or a related field, or equivalent experience that supports or is working towards IEng status;
- A solid understanding of safety engineering and assurance principles;
- Familiarity with applicable safety legislation and standards;
- Qualified engineers from other disciplines who demonstrate the appropriate mindset and possess an understanding of safety engineering will also be considered;
- Comprehension of product development and delivery lifecycles.
