About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health and Safety Consultant to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Project & Programme Services team, you will play a critical role in delivering health and safety services on our projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide health and safety services on independent commissions and complement our wider project delivery services.
- Provide Principal Designer Services under CDM2015.
- Produce pre-construction information, files, and other associated CDM documents.
- Ensure Designer compliance.
- Review contractors' documentation.
- Interface with clients and design teams on a project basis.
- Conduct site H&S inspections/audits.
- Advise clients on procurement options and consultant appointment issues.
- Proactively develop business opportunities within the region.
- Stay up-to-date with current legal developments in construction and associated law.
Requirements:
- Chartered or Professional Qualification in Design or Construction.
- NEBOSH qualified (minimum Construction Certificate).
- Preferable Member of APS / IOSH / CIOB.
- Good IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the component parts of CDM 2015 and other Health & Safety issues.
- Working knowledge of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
- H+S Training capability may be an advantage.
- Strong Communication skills - experience of communicating with people at differing levels effectively through oral and written communication.
- Client-facing skills - experience of working with clients at a strategic/operational level and managing relationships effectively.
- Strong Planning and Organising skills - able to prioritise workload and deadlines and manage change effectively.
- Effective problem resolution skills - solution-oriented with the ability to manage problems and complaints assertively.
- Teamwork skills - ability to work with others to achieve team and personal targets or objectives.
