About the Opportunity

Vital Energi Utilities Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) Design Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen our existing team and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead medium to large-scale projects on Energy Control Systems, from concept through to detailed design, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and programmes across the UK.
  • Act as technical lead for design and implementation of control and safety systems, applying key technical skills to drive innovation and excellence.
  • Develop and prepare plans and estimates for tender proposals, showcasing the company's capabilities and expertise.
  • Produce system documentation, including system architecture, control philosophies, ladder logic, and control system software specifications, to ensure clarity and precision.
  • Assess and capture project requirements, developing design proposals that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
  • Participate in HAZOP assessments, design reviews, and project meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the design team, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and development.
