As we continue to grow steadily in response to increasing demand for our services, we provide rehabilitation in our advanced Neuro Hub gym and within the community, ensuring comprehensive recovery for our clients to achieve their highest functional potential.

We are currently seeking a Rehabilitation Support Assistant to collaborate with our experienced Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans as directed.

As a Rehabilitation Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to pursue a degree apprenticeship in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy after two years of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the treatment or partial treatment of clients under the supervision of qualified staff.
  • Develop the ability to work independently, utilizing initiative and problem-solving skills while adhering to established competency levels.
  • Document relevant information and observations regarding client treatment and maintain accurate client records in a timely manner.
  • Recognize personal limitations and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Seek guidance and support as needed, actively engaging in clinical supervision and on-the-job training.
  • Exhibit professionalism, demonstrating a positive and empathetic approach to all clients and their families or caregivers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other agencies, respecting diverse perspectives.
  • Comply with all established policies, protocols, and standards related to clinical practice.
  • Be vigilant regarding clinical risks during daily practice and report any incidents that may compromise the safety and quality of care.
  • Demonstrate relevant skills and techniques to clients, families, and colleagues as directed by therapists.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, therapy planning sessions, audits, and similar activities.
  • Work effectively as a team member, acknowledging and valuing the contributions of colleagues to the overall care of clients.
  • Support the efficient operation of the team under the guidance of a therapist, including some administrative tasks and assisting new staff and students.
  • Utilize resources efficiently and report any shortages or equipment issues.
  • Seek opportunities for skill development through on-the-job training and identified external courses.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication skills with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Ability to produce clear written documentation.
  • Empathy and integrity, prioritizing client needs in all interactions.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required.
