Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Chartered Legal Executive to join our Casualty department at CapeClarke. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling a caseload of Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims from inception to settlement or trial.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex cases, including fast and multi-track claims, and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for investigating indemnity, liability, and quantum, as well as reviewing complex disclosure, instructing experts, and drafting Court documents.

You will also have the opportunity to work with senior members of the team on catastrophic injury cases and contribute to client relations and business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of EL/PL claims from inception to settlement or trial
  • Investigate indemnity, liability, and quantum
  • Review complex disclosure and instruct experts
  • Draft Court documents and make offers of settlement
  • Work with senior members on catastrophic injury cases
  • Contribute to client relations and business development
Requirements
  • Experience in handling EL/PL claims
  • Catastrophic injury experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong legal and leadership skills
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
