Key Responsibilities- Exhibit an exceptional level of customer service.
- Prevent and deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Conduct thorough external and internal security patrols as outlined in the assignment instructions.
- Perform locking and unlocking duties as specified in the assignment instructions.
- Assist employees and visitors with any inquiries or concerns.
- Ensure that all equipment provided by the client and First Response Group is utilized in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide support, guidance, and information to all staff, visitors, and contractors while safeguarding the premises.
- Verify that all employees and visitors possess the appropriate credentials for accessing buildings.
- Maintain clear walkways and emergency escape routes at all times.
- Respond to and investigate all fire and intruder alarm activations.
- Report any instances of property at risk of being lost, stolen, damaged, or vandalized.
- Conduct initial investigations and report incidents, suspicious activities, and vehicles both verbally and in writing.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing practices and processes and discuss them with the duty manager and site operations manager.
- Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as necessary.
- Possession of valid SIA Door Supervisor & CCTV Licenses is essential.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Security Officer role.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Punctuality and reliability are critical.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comprehensive 5-year work/unemployment/education history in compliance with BS7858 standards.
- Comfortable with patrolling extensive distances and standing for prolonged periods.
