Property and Commercial Underwriter

Join our team of experienced underwriters at The Recruiter Ltd and take on a challenging role that requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of insurance principles.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Property and Commercial Underwriter to join our team. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating renewal business and servicing existing Property/Casualty Accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate renewal business using sensible and recognised underwriting practices.
  • Deal with claims cover requests and service standards.
  • Collaborate with our accounts team to handle financial queries.
  • Use analytical skills to provide statistics on difficult cases.
  • Detect and assess risks that are considered both 'standard' and 'non-standard'.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years + relevant insurance experience.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong underwriting knowledge and experience, specifically within the following areas:
    • Property
    • Casualty
    • Liability
