Position Summary

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) is responsible for the regulation of drivers and vehicles in Great Britain, including the management of vehicle tax collection and enforcement across the UK. This role presents an exciting chance for dedicated and proactive individuals to lead operational teams within a customer-centric setting. You will foster strong collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring your team delivers exceptional customer service while meeting key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage, coach, and enhance team performance, taking ownership of outcomes related to customer service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee team attendance, performance, and conduct in accordance with established management policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement improved operational practices, driving a culture of continuous enhancement.
  • Develop personal capabilities in managing workplace change, while effectively communicating and supporting staff during transitions.

Working Hours

Successful candidates may be required to work within the following shift patterns:

  • Between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Shift work between 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts from 8am to 2pm.
  • Shift work between 10am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts from 8am to 2pm.

Some positions may necessitate occasional travel and overnight stays to manage remote teams. Flexibility in working hours is essential to meet business needs.

Additional Information

We welcome applications from individuals seeking full-time, part-time, or job-sharing opportunities. Full-time roles consist of 37 hours per week, with a minimum requirement of 30 hours per week over five days for part-time candidates. While future flexibility may be possible, it cannot be guaranteed at this time.
