Lead Financial Advisor

Full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

KHR - Recruitment Specialists is collaborating with a dedicated consultancy that offers financial guidance and services to a well-established clientele across various regions.
Currently, they are seeking to enhance their team by incorporating a skilled Lead Financial Advisor who will oversee several key accounts.
The primary responsibility of the Lead Financial Advisor will be to support business clients within the educational sector. Therefore, prior experience in providing financial consultancy to educational institutions such as schools, academies, and trusts will be highly regarded.
As this is a consultancy role, it is crucial that candidates possess a valid driving license and have access to their own vehicle to facilitate client visits.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training educational finance personnel on the relevant financial software utilized.
2. Providing absence cover for Finance Controller or CFO level positions.
3. Preparing monthly management accounts.
4. Managing budgets and forecasts for educational institutions.
5. Assisting clients and auditors with financial statements and year-end audits.
6. Reporting to senior management and trustees.
7. Advising clients on best practices in accordance with the Academies Financial Handbook.
Candidate Profile:
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA preferred, but PQ or QBE will be considered).
- Experience in the education or charity sector.
- Familiarity with PS Financials software is desirable.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals at all levels.
- Must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle.
- Ability to pass a clean enhanced DBS check (initiated and funded by the employer).
The office serves as a base for occasional meetings, while day-to-day responsibilities will primarily be conducted from a home office, requiring regular travel to client locations. Mileage will be reimbursed at the HMRC rate.
