Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Group Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement of commercial vehicle parts across our group. This strategic role will play a crucial part in the company's future growth, with annual parts purchases totaling around £20 million.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of commercial vehicle parts procurement, including ordering, supplier liaison, stock levelling, stock cleanses, stock taking, scheduling, and bulk ordering.
- Work closely with the senior team to ensure that parts are purchased at optimal levels to generate maximum returns for the company and savings for customers, while maintaining relevant stock levels and reducing aged stock value.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to drive business growth and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with the senior team to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Provide excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in stock management across a multi-branch network.
- Excellent knowledge of the commercial vehicle parts market.
- Proficiency in MAM Autopart and Phocas Software.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
