Certain Advantage is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Systems Specialist to join our team on an exciting Offshore Project.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced professional to design and implement instrumentation systems for our client in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering design and a proven track record of working on offshore-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop instrumentation systems in collaboration with other disciplines.
- Produce detailed documentation, including General Arrangement drawings, Electrical Detail Drawings, and Loop drawings.
- Review and update existing documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare work packages for installation and specify instrumentation, cables, and equipment.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in offshore-related projects.
- Strong background in engineering design, with a focus on instrumentation systems.
- Excellent English skills, both spoken and written.
- Proficiency in Norwegian is a plus.
- Good knowledge of industry standards, including ATEX, Norsok, Equinor TR, STID, ProCoSys, W3, and ARIS.
- Extensive knowledge of modifications on operational offshore installations.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation used in the oil industry.
- Good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
- Offshore certification is an advantage.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation/Automation Hardware.
- Technical College degree is acceptable with extensive experience in Brownfield modification projects.
