Job Description

Job Title: Chemical Analyst

Job Type: Temporary, 4 months with potential for permanent

Location: Hertfordshire

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Analyst to join our team at a leading waste management and recycling company. As a Chemical Analyst, you will be responsible for inspecting and sampling incoming waste materials, testing in the lab as needed, and ensuring safe handling and categorization of waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and inspecting incoming waste materials
  • Sampling and testing waste materials in the lab
  • Ensuring safe handling and storage of waste materials
  • Categorizing and treating waste materials in accordance with relevant permits and procedures
  • Ensuring accurate and compliant paperwork for incoming waste
  • Working alongside site operatives to ensure efficient and safe waste processing
  • Bulking and re-packing waste to achieve maximum profitability

Requirements:

  • HND in Chemistry as a minimum
  • Analytical chemistry skills and experience in a similar industry
  • Immediate availability preferred
