Pallet Network Transport Planner Position Overview

Bennett and Game Recruitment are working with a leading company in the palletised freight industry to find a skilled Transport Planner to join their team in Barnsley.

  • Plan and coordinate local daily collections, deliveries, and night trunking for pallet network vehicles, including hazardous goods ADR shipments using Mandata Traffic Management System.
  • Manage a fleet of 11 local daily vehicles and 4-night trunks, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with dispatch warehouse supervisors to ensure smooth load management and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize vehicle tracking software to monitor eta's and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Ensure vehicles are not overloaded and comply with CDG requirements and segregation rules.
  • Resolve delivery issues, such as damages, late arrival, and driver issues, and assist in breakdown situations.

The ideal candidate will have proven transport planning experience, with a strong understanding of pallet networks and logistics operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Pallet Network Transport Planner Position Remuneration

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000+ (dependent on experience)

Working Days: Monday - Friday

Working Hours: AM Pattern - 6AM - 1:30PM, PM Pattern - 12:30 - 8PM

Pension: Yes
