Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Apple Orchard. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young people aged 13-18 years.

About the Role:

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of our young residents. Your primary duties will include:

  • Creating a safe and welcoming environment that promotes positive relationships and attachments.
  • Planning and delivering activities that cater to individual needs and stimulate learning and integration.
  • Maintaining accurate records of progress, achievements, and important events in the lives of our young people.
  • Collaborating with local authorities and parents/carers to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Providing support and guidance to young people as they navigate their journey towards independence and adulthood.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with teenage boys or challenging behaviour.
  • A willingness to develop your skills and knowledge in residential childcare.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
