Job Summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a qualified Educator of American Sign Language to deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute to the professional, corporate life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality education to assigned pupils, promoting academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Contribute to the professional, corporate life of the school, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and curriculum plans.
  • Provide support and guidance to pupils, staff, and external bodies, adhering to Local Negotiating Committee for Teachers and Scottish Negotiating Committee for Teachers agreements.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry trends.
  • Contribute to the development of a nurturing and supportive school culture, promoting emotional literacy and well-being.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Desirable experience in Nurture, Outdoor Learning, and Emotional Literacy.
  • Willingness to undertake additional training and professional development opportunities.
