Job Title: Trade Surveillance

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Surveillance Compliance Officer to join our Compliance team at Jacobson Garner in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily surveillance of trading activities across different financial markets.
  • Investigate alerts generated by the surveillance systems to identify potential breaches of market conduct regulations.
  • Liaise with regulators and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with market abuse regulations.
  • Draft clear and concise reports in English, summarizing investigations and findings.
  • Provide advice and training to front office staff on regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate with the broader compliance team to enhance surveillance methodologies and systems.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English.
  • 1 year+ experience in trade surveillance or a similar compliance role within an investment bank or financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of market abuse regulations (MAR) and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
