About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People. As a key member of our neurorehabilitation team, you will work with clients who have acquired brain injury, incomplete spinal injury, or stroke, providing expert occupational therapy assessment and treatment plans to maximize functional independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment plans aligned to client aspirations
  • Carry out access and home visit assessments, implementing appropriate aids and equipment
  • Act as a key worker for clients, supporting their rehabilitation, stay, and discharge plans
  • Hold responsibility for own caseload and a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision
  • Supervise band 5 occupational therapists, students, and therapy support workers as required
  • Set clients' short- and long-term goals, leading and assisting in splinting as appropriate
  • Integrate and monitor treatment programmes in clients' environments
  • Participate in the assessment of wheelchair seating requirements, keeping abreast of professional developments
