About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished and enthusiastic mid-level VFX Artist to join our team at Electric Square, working on an exciting new project for AAA console games.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the creation of bespoke, original, and industry-leading VFX for AAA console games.
  • Understand the value of VFX in enhancing the player experience and make significant contributions to the project.
  • Partner closely with technical teams to deliver an efficient, stable, and state-of-the-art VFX pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of innovative game production technologies and their capabilities/limitations.
  • Communicate clear technical guidelines for VFX creation and real-time implementation to the team.
Requirements
  • At least 2+ years' production experience as a VFX artist in the games industry working on cutting-edge AAA console titles.
  • Shipped at least 1-2 commercial products of reasonable size.
  • Strong skills in games development software such as Maya and game engines.
  • Understanding of shaders and the rendering pipeline as it relates to VFX.
  • Understanding of Houdini is a distinct advantage.
  • An in-depth knowledge of VFX principles and good sense of timing and staging.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate productively with others.
  • A VFX reel demonstrating outstanding visual and technical ability.
