Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a leading Main Contractor, based near Thetford. As a key member of their dynamic team, you will be responsible for managing construction projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to negotiate contracts, agreements, and settlements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Full driving license and ability to travel extensively.
  • Strong financial knowledge of frameworks, schedules of rates, and contracts.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in IT, with experience in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary: £40,000 - £55,000.
  • Profit-related bonus after 12 months, up to £15,000.
  • 25 days' holiday + Bank holidays.
