We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused retail professional to join our team as a Retail Development Manager - Town Centre Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work with us to shape the future of our town centre and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop a large team, including market traders and retail tenants, to deliver excellent customer service and drive sales growth.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the retail and leisure offer in our town centre, including market stalls, shops, and restaurants.
- Work closely with our project team to deliver the Revitalising the Heart of Chesterfield project, which aims to create a vibrant and dynamic market space.
- Collaborate with our Pavements Shopping Centre team to ensure the centre benefits from the multi-million-pound investment in the town centre.
- Manage significant income budgets, health and safety, maintenance, tenancy management, marketing, and events to ensure the smooth operation of our town centre.
- Proven experience in retail management, including market trading and tenancy management.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive business growth.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the development of our town centre.
- Knowledge of health and safety, maintenance, and marketing principles.
