Assembly Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in Stockport. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality assembly and build standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and testing of machinery before delivery.
  • Attend sites for machine commissioning and handle breakdowns.
  • Ensure compliance with production instructions and exceed quality standards.
  • Report any assembly irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in on-site commissioning and provide customer training.
Requirements:
  • Primary responsibility for mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies and main assemblies.
  • Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and pneumatic circuits.
  • Maintain accurate electronic parts lists.
  • Proficient in general engineering tasks such as marking out, drilling, and tapping.
  • Completion of a time-served apprenticeship or City & Guilds qualification.
