Cost Estimator – Property Management

Role Overview

As a Cost Estimator specializing in Property Management, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial aspects of construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that projects are delivered within budget while maintaining high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer construction contracts, including processes such as tendering, evaluations, and negotiations.
  • Support workforce management, including the deployment of subcontractors and monitoring of timekeeping.
  • Engage with subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle, approving stage payments and ensuring accurate measurements and take-offs.
  • Assess and process change orders effectively.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts to keep the Construction Manager and Directors informed of the financial status.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all cost-related documents, including contracts, invoices, payments, and correspondence.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the project team.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies across the business, providing guidance and support as necessary.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in Property Management, Refurbishment, and both Residential and Commercial sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Relevant qualifications such as HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Self-driven, approachable, and motivated individual.
  • Possession of a full driving license.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to achieving results on the first attempt.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
