Job Summary:
Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator - Commercial Glazing Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Estimator - Commercial Glazing Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for producing estimates for the design, fabrication, and installation of aluminium curtain walling, windows, and doors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality estimates for commercial glazing projects, including aluminium curtain walling, windows, and doors.
- Review tender documents and create detailed tender returns.
- Utilize specialist estimating software to determine material costs and negotiate prices with suppliers.
- Liaise with main contractors and build strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure the internal CRM system is regularly updated with project information.
- Prepare handover documents for the contracts department once a project is secured.
- Attend pre and post-tender meetings as required.
- Prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met and projects are delivered on time.
Requirements:
- Must have experience as an Estimator - Commercial Glazing Systems Specialist in the fenestration market sector.
- Ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural glazing, curtain walling, fire-rated glazing, structural glazing, windows, and doors.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Must be IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
