Core Responsibilities
As an Azure Engineer within the infrastructure team, you will spearhead the management and deployment of Microsoft-based server and cloud solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Specializing in Azure Architecture, focusing on Azure-centric infrastructure engineering.
- Designing and delivering new Azure infrastructure, including on-premise and hybrid solutions.
- Managing hybrid cloud infrastructure, encompassing servers, storage, security, and virtualization.
- Driving proactive improvements through technical assessments, evaluating business risks, resilience, capacity, and service availability.
- Documenting systems and architecture thoroughly, including design, configuration, and testing evidence.
- Providing solution designs, cost estimates, and basic project management throughout implementations.
- Offering technical leadership and guidance to colleagues in your areas of expertise.
- Managing desktop builds/images that require integration with server infrastructure.
- Overseeing technical backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity for all server-based solutions.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in designing and implementing MS Azure services, including ADFS, Virtualization, SaaS, and PaaS.
- Experience in implementing and managing resilient services, including load balancing, availability sets, and geo-redundancy.
- Familiarity with Azure disaster recovery and backup solutions.
- Knowledge of Office365 interoperability, preferably at an SME level.
- Demonstrated experience managing on-premise and hybrid server solutions.
- Proficiency in deploying and integrating PC-based technologies within Windows environments.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
