Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic to join our team at CONSULT2RECRUIT LTD. As a Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, rollers, and other related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as required
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
  • Run diagnostic tests to identify and repair faults in plant machinery
  • Conduct yearly LOLER inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Record all work carried out each day to maintain accurate records
  • Liaise with the workshop manager daily to ensure smooth workflow and communication
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds / NVQ in Mechanics or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience working on plant machinery
  • Technical understanding of engines, transmissions, axles, hydraulic pumps, electrics, and other related systems
