Key Responsibilities:

  2. Work full-time to provide individualized support to children who have experienced trauma, helping them to build trust and develop positive relationships.
  3. **De-escalate Challenging Situations:**
  4. Implement effective strategies to de-escalate any situations that may arise, ensuring a calm and safe environment for all students.
  5. **Develop Strong Relationships:**
  6. Develop strong, trustworthy bonds with students to help them feel secure and supported, setting positive examples for them to follow.
  7. **Collaborate with Professionals:**
  8. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create individualized support plans for each child, ensuring their unique needs are met.
  9. **Monitor Progress:**
  10. Monitor and report on the progress of students, adjusting strategies as necessary to support their growth and development.

Requirements:

  1. **Experience Working with Trauma:**
  2. Proven experience working with children who have experienced trauma, preferably in an educational or therapeutic setting.
  3. **Trauma-Informed Care:**
  4. Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and behaviour management techniques.
  5. **Communication Skills:**
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  7. **Qualifications:**
  8. Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  9. **Experience with SEN:**
  10. Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) or a keen interest in working with SEN children is highly desirable.
