About the Role:

As a key member of the TQR Finance team, this dynamic role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our financial processes. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for posting journals, preparing and reviewing financial performance, and providing input on key commercial decision making.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing month-end financial reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and reporting packs, and explaining variances against budget
  • Finance business partnering with key teams throughout the wider business, driving commercial growth and profitability
  • Reviewing and challenging monthly accruals for the wider business, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Owning and challenging the output of the Overheads team, optimizing financial processes and efficiency
  • Overseeing sales ledger processes and manual payment processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions
  • Monitoring revenue tracking processes for online and store operations, identifying areas for improvement
  • Preparing and submitting monthly and quarterly regulatory returns (VAT, ONS, Intrastat), ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Assisting with year-end audit, providing financial expertise and support
  • Other tasks as required, contributing to the success of the TQR Finance team

Person Specification:

This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment, requiring a high level of financial expertise and commercial acumen. The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in a commercial organization, with a strong understanding of financial processes and systemsExperience preparing management accounts with commentary, with a focus on financial analysis and reportingStrong Excel skills, with experience of financial modeling and data analysisProfessional qualification desirable (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or similar), demonstrating a high level of financial expertiseStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholdersThe confidence to challenge existing practices and seek improvements, driving financial efficiency and effectiveness
