Position Overview: A prominent client in the Petrochemicals Manufacturing sector is in search of a Control Systems Engineer to join their team.

Employment Type: This is a permanent, full-time position located on-site.

Compensation: The role offers a comprehensive staff benefits package along with a negotiable salary.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience with DCS/SIS engineering, specifically with Honeywell TPS/Experion control systems and FSC/SM safety systems, acquired through work in continuous refinery or chemical processing environments. Proficiency in Honeywell DCS hardware, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing Honeywell graphic user interfaces (GUIs).
  • Regulatory control implementation and maintenance experience.
  • Understanding of control system algorithms and functions.
  • Ability to design classical regulatory control strategies.
  • Skills in tuning and troubleshooting control systems.

Advanced Control Design:

  • Familiarity with traditional advanced control techniques.
  • Comprehension of algorithms and process economics to meet control objectives.

Control Modelling and Data Analysis:

  • Experience in designing and implementing dynamic or steady-state models to enhance control strategies.
  • Ability to conduct statistical analysis to extract valuable insights from large datasets.

Safety Instrumented Systems:

  • Strong understanding of reliability, availability, functionality, SIL, risk reduction, and SIS in the process industry.
  • Working knowledge of Honeywell FSC/SM technology and its integration with TPS/Experion.
  • Familiarity with safety system algorithms and functions.
  • Knowledge of SIS design standards, both company-specific and industry-wide.
  • Experience with cause-and-effect matrix charts for safety instrumented systems.

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of chemical engineering processes.
  • Support for plant commissioning activities.
