Engineering Manager

Get Staff is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our client's team in Hayes. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering department and ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of passenger vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Control all engineering cost lines through robust planning and auditing.
  • Drive engagement with engineering management and supervisory teams.
  • Manage the engineering teams in accordance with policies, standard operating procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain and present vehicles in strict accordance with company procedures and DVSA requirements.
  • Ensure the effective use of engineering support software and diagnostic equipment.
  • Develop and implement performance management and training plans for engineering staff.
  • Deliver agreed plans and budgets, including established levels of cleaning, sanitizing, servicing, and MOT quality.
Requirements:
  • Recognized engineering qualification, such as Level 3 HGV City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a qualified fitter, mechanic, or engineer.
  • Excellent working knowledge of daily site procedures, engineering processes, health and safety regulations, and DVSA standards.
  • NEBOSH qualified.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills, capable of motivating and maintaining discipline with engineering and cleaning staff.
  • An appropriate level of IT skills.
