Principal Software Engineer

Premier IT is in search of a Principal Software Engineer to facilitate the transition of their technology stack from Python to C# and C++. This position is critical for enhancing our software capabilities.

With nearly a decade of innovation in the Ultrasonics sector, our organization serves a diverse range of industries, including Energy, Marine, Audio, and Medical.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Python to comprehend the existing framework and demonstrate proficiency in C# and C++ to spearhead the migration initiative and develop future applications.

Upon successful completion of the migration, there will be opportunities to engage in exciting projects involving Qt and GUI development.

Compensation & Technical Requirements:

  • Salary range: £55,000-£65,000
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant commercial development experience

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Proficient in Python, C#, C++, Qt, GUI, and Git
  • Experience in graphical user interface design is advantageous
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a small to medium-sized development team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
