Service OverviewCygnet Sedgley House and Cygnet Sedgley Lodge offer a 34-bed high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service for men with complex needs. The service provides an environment that promotes mental health recovery by focusing on space, personal privacy, and dignity.
Job Responsibilities- Supervise an allocated team of Nurses and Support Workers, ensuring effective allocation of care and associated duties.
- Coordinate, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient programs of care.
- Develop and monitor managerial and clinical supervision within the allocated team.
- Monitor staff rotas to ensure effective staffing on shifts, considering skill and gender mix.
- Conduct Return to Work and Sickness interviews, ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained.
- Report any ill health amongst patients and request RC/GP/Professional visits as necessary.
- Participate in Staff and Patient meetings and attend training sessions as required.
- An experienced RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number.
- The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits, and demonstrate integrity in your role.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and latest nursing practices.
- A commitment to patient recovery, enabling effective monitoring, management, and risk reduction.
- Compassion, resilience, and a dedication to empower and support service user independence.
