Role Overview

The Engagement and Communications Manager role presents an exciting opportunity to support the Head of White Rose in realising a bold new vision and mission that enables our people to thrive.

This strategic communications role involves creating and executing a communications plan for the consortium and fostering networks across the three universities. You will play a key role in overseeing the Community Fund, which aims to catalyse the establishment of networks and communities across the universities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a multi-audience communications plan to raise the organisation's profile.
  • Create and manage content across various mediums, including web, news, newsletters, videos, and social media, with a focus on responsible, accurate, and accessible communication.
  • Build collaborative, productive working relationships and networks through strong networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Take the initiative and work independently to develop effective communications activities.
  • Manage social media channels and develop engaging communications campaigns for diverse audiences.
Requirements
  • Level 6 qualification or equivalent non-UK qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
  • Substantial experience of working in a strategic communications role with a track record of raising an organisation's profile.
  • Experience of developing and delivering a multi-audience communications plan.
  • Ability to create and manage content across various mediums.
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and work independently.
  • Experience of managing social media channels.
