About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Pricing Manager to join our team at Hastings Direct. As a key member of our pricing team, you'll play a crucial role in driving our growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of trainee actuaries and data scientists in identifying and creating cutting-edge data assets and predictive models for home insurance pricing.
  • Develop and maintain analytical tools to support the management of our home risk portfolio.
  • Design and implement predictive models to forecast claims outcomes and market prices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to engineer new rating factors and deploy them into our rating algorithms.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a pricing or commercially focused analytical role.
  • Strong numeric and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for emerging machine learning techniques and their application in underwriting and pricing.
  • Proficiency in Python or other programming languages.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused approach to identifying profit opportunities and making informed decisions.
