Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Harland & Wolff. As a key member of our fabrication and repair team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating mechanical maintenance and infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, material procurement, and scheduling of activities.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure project success.
- Implement related RAMS, SSOW, and LOTO/Enterprise Resource Planning system (IFS) and AutoCAD system to update documentation and interpret technical drawings.
- Lead and coordinate planned maintenance and mechanical inspection, repair, and maintenance activities.
- Site responsibility for completion of mobile plant maintenance, repair, and legislative inspection completion.
- Site responsibility for completion of fixed plant asset maintenance, repair, and legislative inspection completion.
- Provide technical assistance on key infrastructure and assets, including dock flooding, dock gate movements, dock dewatering, and vessel services connections.
- Provide technical feedback and propose yard improvements based on vessel requirements.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for mechanical and maintenance installation, repair/replacement, and testing processes.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel involved in maintenance operations.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of mechanical maintenance fitters and subcontractors.
Requirements
- Craft-level electrical installation qualifications with demonstrated diagnostic skills in industrial plant.
- HV Awareness, or willingness to undertake training.
- Higher-level electrical technician skills, Level 4 and above.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong background in the understanding of Health & Safety regulations and procedures.
- Understanding and ability to work with Quality procedures and processes.
- Ability to guide, mentor, and build a team.
