Position Overview:
We are in search of a funding specialist who is eager to play a pivotal role in securing financial backing for Uniper's growth initiatives in the New Green Power and Gas Sector, particularly within the UK. This role also emphasizes the importance of ensuring accountability, transparency, and efficiency in the utilization of allocated funds.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Opportunity Research:
Identify potential funding sources that align with Uniper's strategic objectives and develop tailored funding strategies.
Proposal Crafting:
Create persuasive grant proposals that effectively communicate the mission, objectives, and intended use of funds for Uniper's growth projects.
Financial Oversight:
Formulate precise budgets for grant proposals and monitor expenditures throughout the grant lifecycle.
Grant Management:
Supervise the complete lifecycle of grants, from application submission to final reporting, ensuring adherence to all requirements and deadlines.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate closely with project teams in Uniper's New Green Power and Gas Sector, as well as with Business Controlling, Finance, Corporate Communication, Governmental Relations, and other internal and external partners to gather information, coordinate activities, and ensure the effective execution of grant-funded projects.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Track project progress, collect data, and prepare reports to showcase outcomes and impacts to funding bodies.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Stay updated on relevant regulations and policies governing grant funding and proactively address any compliance issues or risks.
Relationship Development:
Build and maintain relationships with funders, stakeholders, and other organizations to enhance funding and collaboration opportunities.
The underlying project portfolio includes activities in hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives, green energy imports, decarbonization of conventional power generation, battery storage, and other emerging technologies aimed at decarbonizing the energy sector, excluding renewable energies.
Candidate Profile:
University degree in law, economics, or political science.
Extensive professional experience in Funding Management, with a solid understanding of relevant regulations, policies, and best practices governing grant funding.
Familiarity with energy markets and a sound commercial acumen are preferred.
An established network in the funding sector is advantageous.
A collaborative and pragmatic personality capable of effectively managing stakeholders and interfaces.
Ability to quickly connect with others and inspire during challenging deadlines.
Detail-oriented and precise work methodology.
Strong analytical skills with the capacity to comprehend complex topics and convey them clearly.
Intercultural competence.
Proficient in MS Office 365 applications.
