About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Site Manager to join our team at Fire Consultancy Specialists Ltd. As a key member of our Special Projects Team, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing repairs and maintenance on fire doors to meet the stringent requirements of the BM Trada Maintenance Scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting both intrusive and non-intrusive fire door surveys in accordance with the latest British and EN standards
  • Ensuring that all work is within Health & Safety and quality company requirements
  • Providing a compliant, competent, professional, and accredited service
  • Leading by example and ensuring that all work performed under your supervision meets the highest standards of safety and compliance
Requirements
  • Experience working in the Passive Fire industry
  • Experience of maintaining and repairing fire doors to meet regulatory requirements
  • Ideal experience working to the BM Trada Q mark Maintenance scheme (Training provided)
  • Experience with codes of practice, standards and interpreting manufacturers' details relating to passive fire protection
  • Relevant qualifications and training in passive fire stopping, fire safety, fire compartmentation
  • Self-motivated, flexible, able to work away from home when required
  • Good understanding of the British Standards & EN covering the areas of work
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Positive and proactive can-do attitude with genuine enthusiasm to learn and develop their own skills and knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications and Attributes
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and IT literacy
  • Understanding of the needs and implications of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
  • Demonstrate a customer-centric approach, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, showing adaptability within a team environment
  • Knowledge and practical experience in other disciplines relevant to a multitasking delivery service
  • The capacity to conduct oneself with professionalism and uphold high standards of integrity
Work Environment

This position requires nationwide travel to various sites across the UK. The role is site-based, and there may be a level of flexibility to accommodate week-long stays away from home on occasions. Our Head Office is located in Nottingham, and attendance at this office will be expected as required throughout the year.
