This is an exciting opportunity to join Alzheimer's Society as a Dementia Adviser, working in a dynamic and supportive team to provide support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support people affected by dementia, families, and carers to access vital services and improve their sense of well-being.
  • Assist with the identification of needs, providing information and access to relevant services, and promoting the Dementia Advice service.
  • Network effectively with other professionals to achieve a positive outcome for people.
  • Travel across the local area independently when required.

About You

We are looking for someone with the ability and interest in supporting people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives.

Requirements

  • Understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers.
  • Experience with communicating with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding at all levels.
  • Good IT skills, experience working with databases and virtual meeting software.
