Deputy Ward Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our senior nursing leadership team as a Deputy Ward Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-functioning team, providing skilled evidence-based nursing care to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide skilled, evidence-based nursing care to patients, working in accordance with the philosophy of patient-centered care and Trust standards.
- Manage the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager, ensuring safe cover and efficient use of resources.
- Supervise and develop junior staff, promoting a culture of ongoing learning and development.
- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate safe discharge or transfer of patient care.
- Contribute to clinical audit and service improvement initiatives, promoting high-quality patient care and service delivery.
- Registered Nurse (RN1) with a degree or diploma and working towards a first-level degree.
- Mentor award and evidence of ongoing continuing professional development.
- Experience of management of teams, clinical audit, and project work.
- High level of clinical knowledge and skill, with experience of medication administration via various routes.
