About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Clinical Oncologist to join our Oncology team at Southend Hospital. The successful candidate will have a special interest in Head & Neck and Colorectal Cancers and will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake the Consultant Clinical Oncologist role at Southend Hospital, working alongside Clinical Oncologists at the same site.
  • Provide leadership and management to junior medical staff, including the professional development of trainees.
  • Promote inter-disciplinary working in the department and across the hospital.
  • Ensure that current standards and evidence-based practice are applied in the department.

Person Specification
  • MBBS or Equivalent
  • MRCP
  • Inclusion on GMC Specialist Register for oncology or within 6 months of attainment at the time of interview
  • Evidence of completion of specialist training or equivalent
