About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a senior clinical leader, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients and leading a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary Liaison Psychiatry service
  • Engage in development and clinical leadership in the Integrated Psychological Medicine Service
  • Participate in service governance and service improvement projects
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members
  • Contribute to the development of care pathways for patients with functional and chronic conditions
Requirements
  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council
  • Approved Clinician status at the point of taking up post
  • Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview
  • Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983
  • Experience of teaching undergraduates and postgraduates
  • Experience of psychiatric practice in a range of settings, especially in acute inpatient hospital settings
  • Experience of audit and an understanding of the principles of clinical governance
