We are working with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company to find a skilled Shift Production Engineer to join their team.

Job Purpose

  1. To ensure the smooth operation of production processes and equipment, and to contribute to the company's goal of delivering high-quality products.
  2. The successful candidate will work as part of the Engineering team to maintain and improve production efficiency, and to ensure adherence to company standards and procedures.
  3. This is a hands-on role, requiring the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and to respond to breakdowns and production issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. The Shift Production Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to production staff, and for identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement.
  5. Key responsibilities will include:
    1. Responding to breakdowns on production equipment and implementing repairs or maintenance as necessary.
    2. Monitoring and controlling production processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
    3. Providing technical support and guidance to production staff.
    4. Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement.
    5. Assisting with the set-up and changeover of filling and packaging equipment.
    6. Ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures.

Requirements

  1. NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical/Mechanical discipline.
  2. Electrical/Mechanical Engineering experience.
  3. Experience in an FMCG or pharmaceutical environment working with packaging and manufacturing equipment.
  4. Experience of mechanical engineering, filling and packaging equipment.
  5. Competent computer user with experience of Microsoft software packages.
  6. Determination to provide a high degree of 'customer service' to the production teams.
