Role Responsibilities:
We are seeking a proactive Construction Associate Solicitor who can cultivate and enhance an existing client base while contributing to the team's growth. A pre-existing client following would be advantageous.
Your role will involve leading and managing a diverse range of contentious and non-contentious matters, while also collaborating with team members and providing guidance to junior colleagues. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, exceptional business development capabilities, and the ability to establish and maintain effective client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within the Construction & Engineering division on a variety of contentious and non-contentious cases, both in a leadership capacity and as part of a team.
- Assist the broader Real Estate division with development-related matters.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities proactively.
- Enhance the firm's visibility in the market and conduct oneself in a manner that upholds the firm's reputation.
- Achieve individual performance targets with minimal oversight.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and foster strong client relationships.
- Comply with established quality standards and management systems.
- Deliver work in a commercially viable manner.
- Continuously develop both technical and non-technical skills to meet client and firm needs, demonstrating ongoing improvement.
- Engage in the creation and delivery of seminar and workshop content.
Please note that some travel may be necessary for business development, meetings, and training.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant professional qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong advisory and drafting abilities, with familiarity in standard form contracts such as JCT, NEC, FIDIC, etc.
- Comprehensive understanding of all parties involved in construction and engineering projects.
- Experience in various dispute resolution methods, including litigation, arbitration, adjudication, expert determination, and mediation.
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines.
- A rational, measured, and commercially focused approach to problem-solving.
- Confidently and diplomatically engage with clients and other stakeholders.
- Capable of providing effective supervision and mentorship to junior team members.
